District Office

The district office for Virginia Public Schools consists of the Superintendent’s Office and the Business Office. These offices are located at 411 South Fifth Avenue Virginia, Minnesota, 55792.  The offices are located directly across from the St. Louis County Court House. Enter Door Number 2 from Fifth Avenue and once in the building, take a right. The district office performs the legal functions of the school district as well as the financial functions of the district.  There is little contact with students in the district office.  Usually, you will find that all student issues are dealt with in the building where the student attends and that is handled by the building principal. Personnel in the district office work with the school board to address all legal matters that affect employees and students. The school board develops policies that guide the action of administrators and other school employees. The superintendent of schools acts as the voice of the school board. Through the superintendent, the school board acts as one.
